The Miracle Morning – 7 Steps that will change your life

What’s the difference between these two pictures? Hint: It’s the same guy.

His name is Hal Elrod, and in the picture on the left, he is dead.

Hal was hit by a car and was declared dead for 6 minutes. Thankfully doctors were able to get his heart working again. He then spent the next 6 days in a coma. When he woke up he was hit with the news that he would never walk again. Today Hal is a ultra-marathon runner.

He is also a top keynote speaker, bestselling author, and helps and teaches thousands of people.

How do you go from being dead to that?

First, you have to wake up — and that’s exactly what Hal did.

He woke up and faced a new morning. Day after day, after day.

he eventually developed the Miracle Morning – a 7-step morning routine based on the best habits he could find in books, in others and himself.

He wrote how to use these seven steps in his book The Miracle Morning. I highly recommend reading this book, even if you don’t plan on using Hal’s methods his story is still incredibly motivating. You can get a copy of the book Here

But if you don’t feel like reading the whole book I have a summary of the steps below.

You don’t need to do the steps in the order above but you should do all of these as soon as you wake up.

Waking up early

In order to use the miracle morning to its full potential, you need to wake up at least one hour earlier. I was not a morning person so I wasn’t very excited to hear about that. But in the book Hal provides great tips to make waking up early enjoyable.

One thing Hal taught me is that if you go to bed thinking you will be exhausted in the morning then you will be exhausted in the morning. So you need to trick yourself into thinking that you won’t be tired in the morning and that the amount of sleep you are getting is the perfect amount. You can do this by using the bedtime affirmation Hal created. It is completely free and you can find it here.

Believe it or not but once you start listening to what he says and try it for yourself you will be looking forward to waking up earlier the next day.
